Caroline’s passion for Yoga was sparked in 2004, during her rehabilitation for a serious ankle injury. Within her first few yoga sessions, Caroline found her mind was clearer, muscles lengthened and her alignment improved. She felt rejuvenated, relaxed and her sleeping improved. Eager to learn more about Yoga, Caroline took a short training course. The desire to further her knowledge led to an improvement in her health but also a career change and she began to train as a Yoga teacher. She went on to study with some of the best Yoga teachers in the UK, undertaking the 240 hour Yoga Alliance accredited Teacher Training with appleyoga in London.
Caroline embarked on further training with appleyoga and qualified to teach pre and postnatal yoga classes. This built upon her skills previously gained during her 'Mum & Baby Yoga' training undertaken with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.
In January 2011 Caroline opened Karma Studios in West Wickham where she offers a range of classes. These include beginner level, mixed level, pregnancy yoga and senior sessions. Monthly Restorative Yoga classes, private lessons, and regular workshops are also on the timetable.
Caroline continued to work towards her 500 hours training certification and in 2014 Caroline embarked on Restorative Yoga Training with Anna Ashby at Triyoga in London. This expanded her learning and complemented the range of classes she was able to offer her clients. It also enabled her to offer some truly therapeutic passive asanas during certain classes. In 2015, she gained a further qualification with Andrea Kwiatkowski at Camyoga in 'The Art of Adjustments’, which has proven to be especially beneficial when working with one to one clients.
Continuing professional development is important to Caroline. It enables her to keep her classes varied and offer different options to her clients, allowing them to find the approach that is right for their body.
I cannot recommend Karma studios highly enough. The classes are friendly, fun, relaxing & as challenging as you want them to be with fantastic teachers, especially Caroline. The venue is beautiful. A light room with wooden floor, windows on 2 side & a full mirrored wall, sound system & mood lighting. I had never done yoga before & I love it! If you have ever been to a dusty old church hall for a yoga class, try Karma & I bet you will never look back! Thanks Caroline & the team. Already looking forward to my Saturday morning class!
Caroline is a marvellous teacher. She is attuned to each one of her students, offering constructive teaching points. You leave the class feeling like you've worked hard but have pampered your whole self!

I have attended Caroline's yoga classes for over a year and have learned so much. From breathing techniques to a variety of poses and routines, her classes blend new learning with opportunities to improve existing skills. Caroline is an experienced, patient and thoughtful practitioner and teacher and I really enjoy her classes.
I have been attending Caroline's classes for over three years and really enjoy them. She is a great teacher, friendly and supportive, and there is a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere where everyone can work at their own pace. I would strongly recommend them to everyone particularly if you are new to yoga or returning after a break.
"Having practiced yoga for 20 years and qualified as a teacher for over 13 years. I still find myself looking for new classes and teachers who I can learn something from and it doesn't necessarily have to be as challenging as an advanced class. Whenever I attend a new class, I always try to take something positive away (even though I am incredibly fussy these days...something I'm not proud of).
I first attended Caroline's classes at Karma Studios about 2 years ago and on entering the premises I was instantly impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the peaceful ambiance. It is a beautiful place to practice! I took so much away from that first class, it was an abundance of positive energy, well-being and joy."
How time flies, I have been attending Caroline’s senior yoga classes for over three years and they have been a life saver after losing someone very close.
The studio is always immaculate with everything provided at no extra cost, the classes are always well prepared and delivered with consideration to all our individual needs.
I thoroughly enjoy my sessions, they are challenging at times but Caroline knows us and what we are capable of and look forward to many more good times.
"Caroline is gentle, unassuming, warm, and knowledgeable. She delivers her class with clarity, professionalism and fun. Whenever I leave I feel like a different person, a better person and I truly believe that there is just something about Caroline that makes her classes really special"
