Background
My personal journey into health and fitness started in 2004 when I broke my ankle in three places. As soon as I was mobile again, I found with the correct guidance and encouragement from a personal trainer, my ankle improved rapidly and most importantly I started losing weight and felt fitter than ever before. Inspired by what I had achieved, I started studying with the C.H.E.K institute and am now qualified as a C.H.E.K Exercise and Holistic Lifestyle Coach.
Alongside my gym training I regularly attended yoga classes and from very early on I started to notice the benefits on and off the mat. In my personal experience when I practice yoga, my mind feels clearer, my muscles feel lengthened, my body feels aligned, I feel relaxed and have the best night’s sleep ever. The CHEK holistic approach encourages clients to practice Yoga, Tai Chi or Qi Gong to relax the body, calm the mind and to breathe correctly all of which are critical for optimum health.
